President Goodluck Jonathan to buy new executive jet

That is what Sahara Reporters is reporting...
President Good luck Jonathan wants to ride yet
another new aircraft, and he has asked the
National Assembly to approve the purchase.
The request is part of the 2015 budget
presented to the National Assembly in Abuja
last week by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi
Okonjo-Iweala. It will be the fourth such
purchase since he took office in 2010.
To make the acquisition of the gleaming new
toy fit for the electoral stomp an attractive
proposition, the presidency will trade in one of
the planes currently in the presidential fleet.
But the purchase will still gulp N400 million as
deposit to the manufacturer.

The couple had not signed a prenuptial agreement, but Kris will keep their home, while the pair will divide various bank accounts and assets. Neither will receive spousal support from the divorce agreement.

Buhari to announce running mate today

After more than 48 hours of consultation, the all progressives Congress (APC) appears to have reached a conclusion on the choice of the running mate for the party's presidential candidate Maj-Gen Muhammadu Buhari(Rtd). However , the party is keeping the identity of the preferred candidate under the wraps.
PUNCH reports that the party's national chairman Chief John Odigie-Oyegun while speaking to journalists at the party's headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday hinted that Buhari will announce the party's choice today ( Wednesday).

Tambuwal asks court to jail IG for contempt

Speaker of the house of reps, Mr Aminu Tambuwal, has asked a federal high court in Abuja to summon the inspector general of police; Mr. Sulaiman Abba, to explain to the court why he should not be jailed for disobeying the court order.
Tambuwal accused Abba of consistently disobeying the court order made on November 7, 2014, which directed parties in his substantive suit filed to stop his removal as a member and speaker of the house of representatives.
